January Word of the Month

Greetings!

We thank you for logging into our STCLM webpage! During this pandemic, the church has been challenged like never before. Like many of our contemporaries in ministry, Strong Tower has opted to lead worship virtually. As a consequence, our membership has had to forgo meeting in-person within the comforts of a sanctuary for the purpose of safety. Given this question, one might ask, “is the church in jeopardy?” Emphatically, I say “No!”

For starters, we know that God has covered the church from the very beginning. When Jesus told His disciples, “…upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18),” He gave assurance that assaults on the Body of Christ might come, but they would not be successful. Furthermore, the Word of God clearly distinguishes people as being the “body of Christ,” (1 Corinthians 12:27). Thus, though we are separated physically, the church still lives, because she resides in us!

Let us continue to trust God, His Word and His Holy Spirit as we navigate through these difficult times! As trying as they might be, we are not alone. Our God is still with His church. And as long as God is with us, nothing can stand against us! Stay Safe!
